Row Boats - The Healthy Boat

Row boats are very fun and romantic. If you are on a little lake with a row boat, nothing is more romantic than going out with someone when the sun is setting. Row boats come in all sizes and shapes, small and big, out of wood, fiberglass or aluminum. The most romantic row boat is a wooden, white and cozy one. Smaller ones are harder on waves, but they are very fun to have on a small lake. If you cannot have a motor boat on the lake or river, a row boat is a good choice. It provides better speed than most paddle boats and is better on waves, if there are any. Row boats in a small lake may be used for fishing - but you cannot troll unless you add a little electric motor. Rowing can become a good exercise to practice regularly - but never attempt to go out when there are excessive winds or in the dark. Depending on the size and specs of your row boat, you might row for half an hour and not get anywhere if the wind is very bad. That is one disadvantage of having only a tow boat. It makes a great addition to water toys, but using it as your main means around the lake (unless the lake is pretty small) is a little bit of a risk. 

Using your row boat daily is a great exercise and you will find shortly that your upper body and legs will improve and get stronger. When you row, you should place your feet so that you have a good grip - pushing with your feet on a bench in the row boat will make your job easier, and it will provide exercise for your legs. If you are going for a romantic stroll, then you should take the rowing easier and enjoy the time. Bringing wine or snacks with you makes a great trip on your row boat.
